SFOI will begin to recruit evangelists for its SFOI 1000 football program which is the movement to have the Gospel heard at every home college and pro football game.

Football has been our primary emphasis over the years with last year having the most participation yet with 25 evangelists committing to preach the Gospel at their home college or pro football games.

The following are the total numbers for the 2018 season:

Total Attendance: 36,707,511 Total Attendance: 17,177,581

As you can see football provides another tremendous opportunity for souls to hear the Gospel and since they play 6 – 8 regular season home games the commitment level time wise is actually less than for Major League Baseball.

Weekly Report: Cricket World Cup – ‘I want to be saved?’

The young man in the right of the picture heard Gerry preaching outside Victoria Station and walked up and said, “I want to be saved”.

He explained to Gerry that he felt demon possessed and that he was ready to be free from it.

Gerry ministered to him answered his questions, gave him a Bible and referred him to a church for discipleship.

Praise the Lord! As the Word was being sown and watered that morning one soul was apparently good ground and received the Word.

The SFOI 1,000 is a movement to have the Gospel preached Lord willing at every major sports venue in the world [this includes venues with a capacity of 40,000+ and NBA, Cricket and other venues for professional sports.]

Here’s CenturyLink Field a multi-purpose stadium located in Seattle, Washington, United States. It is the home field for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL) and Seattle Sounders FC of Major League Soccer(MLS).

July 6 – 9 is the Major League Baseball All-Star Celebration in Cleveland, OH. SFOI has been at 15 All-Star Celebrations since 2000 with 6 evangelists scheduled to be in Cleveland.

The official statistics are that #### of fans visit the host city each year to participate in All-Star events.

Major League Baseball regular season presents a tremendous opportunity to reach fans:

30 teams play 2,430 total games.

Based on official numbers from the league, attendance was 69,625,244 over 2,415 dates, or an average of 28,830 per game.

Lord willing for next season the SFOI 1000 effort will be implemented for MLB which means there would be an evangelist initially at 25 – 50% of the games. That would represent 17,406,311 – 34,812,622 souls reached with the Gospel.

Weekly Report: Cricket World Cup – the team at work

Seven evangelists spend 14 days in London, England and three other cities, Nottingham, Southampton and Bristol, bringing the Gospel to the CWC fans and local citizens. For all the pictures visit: CWC Pictures.

The picture you see is a perfect representation of what happens when the team is ministering. First, you see to the left ‘Doc’ Schank preaching the Word in the Southampton City Centre. Southampton is home to the Hampshire Bowl where some CWC games were held.

To the right you see Dorothy, with the green back pack, and David, wearing khakis, speaking with a local citizen who had stopped to talk because she heard the preaching. She turned out to be a Christian who was praying for the city, etc.

There were also conversations that day with 2 local retired Christian ministers, a young homosexual, an angry young mom asking the often heard refrain ‘Where was God when..’ in her case someone had died, an enthusiastic new convert and more unhappy unbelievers.

That’s how the ministry works: preaching brings forth responses and Lord willing Gospel conversations providing opportunities to minister.
